Congrats, again.
You did a GREAT job on the information for getting married before justice in CA. I'm sure many people on this board would benefit from it and appreciate your effort.
Just a suggestion based my personal experience……. If possible, it's better to have your wedding reception/party as close to your wedding day as possible, so that you get the“getting married” atmosphere going for the event.
I got married more than two years ago in front of justice in the US and wanted to have a wedding party for the friends and co-workers here, but we wanted to wait after we had our reception in Taiwan held before we did that. As a result, we never had a reception/party in the US because we couldn't go back to Taiwan until the past December. I regret that we didn't have a reception/party for our friends/co-workers in the US; especially, we accepted gifts from many people.
I didn't mean to put pressure on you. Just something to think about.
