Hello!

My husband speaks very limited Mandarin and the photographer only speaks simple English. As for the communication during the photo shooting, it mainly depended on their body language and my translation.

I reckon it's a bit difficult to find a photographer that speaks sufficient English while you still like his style. I suggest you focus on the latter issue. My hubby likes our photographer alot. He is a dynamic fun-loving folk whom you can joke with. You may check my evaluation on that wedding shop for more details.

Regarding the visa type, if you guys aren't married yet, your partner can apply Visitor Visa or Landing Visa for entering Taiwan which might last up to 90 days. If you are married, plan to stay and have all the documents ready, he still needs to apply Visitor Visa but can change to Residence Visa (Family Class) in Taiwan. Note that Landing Visa cannot transfer to Residence Visa directly.

We got married in Taiwan. It took us a couple of month to prepare all the credentials and docments for his Residence Visa. It's quite complicated actually, so if you need more info, you can either check online at triple w dot boca dot gov dot tw or drop me an email at toulouse_lulu at hotmail dot com.

All the best!
Lulu

Hi,

We're going back to Taiwan to have our wedding photos done in April.
But I've got a question.
My partner can't speak mandarin, how can the photographer communicate with him?

Is it important to find a photographer that can speak English.

ps: Can I ask about the type of Visa that your husband's got and things like that?
'Cause we are thinking about moving back to Taiwan.
But there'll be some problem about my partner's work permit.

Cheers
