Hello, I have chatted to some of the girls here who might have remember me~my fiance is New-Zealander...with European background. I am just wondering if anyone are/have marry Westerner, if there any suggestions or culture issues that I need to take concern? I am not familiar with the Western style wedding, what's the procedures?

As I know, wedding party is bridge's families responsibility. You pay money and arrange everything in wedding party. But you can discuss with your husband how to process it. A good atmosphere is important to you both. Talk to your husband. Good luck and congratulatioon!

Hello,

My fiance is an American and we are going to get married in May in States. However, I really have no idea what and how whould I prepre. In my case, I told him that we can have a simple wedding in USA, but we will come back to Taiwan for the ceremony (however, it won't be so complicated as the usual one since he is an American) in the end of 2003 or the beginning of 2003.
So I think you can discuss with your husband. By the way, when is your wedding date?

Hello,

I totally agree with posts above. Since your husband is an European, the tradition might be different from that of North American. I highly recommend you to check The Knot or Wedding Channel for various cultures and etiquettes.

Thanks for every beauty's advise!

We are planning to get marry at around March next year, or a little later than that. Although that it is a long time away, but I need to prepear it soon, since I am still studying at university...everythings are just very stressful! I have had talk to my finance about it before, and we like to start to organise it early so we know the budget for it.

I still like to keep it as traditional wedding between him and me, rather than full on European traditaional style.
